Institut du Nouveau Monde (INM) cordially invites public figures from all horizons to sign the Great Declaration, a text that brings people together and invites them to commit to concrete acts that build a more just, open and unified world. By signing the Great Declaration online at www.greatdeclaration.org, you will answer a call by the world’s youth for social engagement. Your support will echo and encourage the public to join in the movement.
Begun by INM in partnership with Oxfam-Québec, the Offices jeunesse internationaux du Québec (LOJIQ) and Regeneration 2008 – 4th World Youth Congress, the Great Declaration is an international project bringing the world’s youth together around a declaration that defines and affirms the principles and values these young people wish to promote internationally. Although written by young people, the text targets people of all generations, striving to awaken the actors of change in each of us. Already ratified by citizens of more than 60 countries, the Great Declaration will be proclaimed on the United Nations’ International Youth Day, on August 12th, 2008, in Québec City as well as during the INM Summer School, an official event of Québec City’s 400th anniversary celebrations.
